Adams County and the Adams County Foundation have partnered to provide $3 million dollars to the Adams County Community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This partnership designated the Adams County Foundation as a fiduciary agent to CARES funding allocations. Current funding seeks to address unforeseen financial needs, gaps, and risks created by the COVID-19 public health emergency.
G R A N T L O G I S T I C S
The Adams County Foundation will begin accepting grant applications on August 15th - November 15th. This rolling deadline is intended to assist in real time COVID-19 community needs. Please take a moment to read grant specifics to ensure that your request meets the CARES Act and Adams County Foundation qualifications. The Adams County Foundation is committed to awarding funding until grants funds are depleted.
W H O M A Y A P P L Y ?
Currently nonprofit, religious, academic, tribal, medical, emergency responders, educational, and community organizations that serve Adams County residents and businesses may apply. The Adams County Foundation will consider all grant requests that provide COVID-19 relief. Below some examples of possible funding topics. However, the Adams County Foundation is open to considering all gap/relief requests that are not mentioned here:
• Aging Community Support
• COVID-19 related payroll. Worker’s compensation, and COVID-19 responsive operational expenditures
• Culture/Arts online offerings to Adams County community (Existing events and festivals that have moved online due to COVID-19)
• Food and material aid for residents experiencing economic hardship
• Homelessness services that support infected individuals
• PPE
• Recovery funding for organizations that responded and continue to respond to COVID-19 community needs
• Rental, mortgage, bill assistance for individuals, and families.
• Sanitation supplies
• Small business support programming
• Supportive medical equipment/medical needs gap costs for residents recovering from COVID-19
• Technology (online schooling, or low-income resource connection)

All funding must support Adams County residents or small business and clearly demonstrate that programming or service is directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Award windows are as follows: Minimum: $5,000 to Maximum: $300,000. The Adams County Foundation Board is open to one time and recurring monthly awards. The Foundation cannot guarantee full award amounts to any applicant as total funding will be considered as remaining CARES funding allows. Please take the time to review the below information about our grant application process as incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Grantees must spend all allocated funding by December 15th, 2020. Monthly grant reports will be required to demonstrate expenditure of funding and impact.
